Effects of long-term stress
Long-term stressful situations can produce a lasting, low-level stress that's hard on people. The nervous system senses continued pressure and may remain slightly activated and continue to pump out extra stress hormones over an extended period. This can wear out the body's reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body's immune system, and cause other problems.

What is stress?
Stress is a feeling you get when faced with a challenge. In small doses, stress can be good for you because it makes you more alert and gives you a burst of energy... But feeling stressed for a long time can take a toll on your mental and physical health. Even though it may seem hard to find ways to de-stress with all the things you have to do, it's important to find those ways. Your health depends on it.

Why try Reflexology?
The hands and the feet, contain reflexology points that correspond to the entire body, including the head, neck, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and sinuses. Reflexology may be helpful in relieving sinus headaches, constipation, neck and hip pain. A Reflexology session is also a great stress reliever done with the client fully clothed; only the hands, eyes, and feet are involved.

Why I Love My Job!
I love my work as a massage therapist because I get to see immediate results from the work I do with my clients. Today I had a client that had never had a professional massage. After a 30 minute neck and back mini massage, she said she felt very relaxed and left with a big smile. Several hours later I heard that she intends to return on a regular basis. Being a massage therapist is such a blessing!
